Ariana type 99?
When wanting to lower the striker on my type 99 Just open the bolt, pull the boll to the rear aftr ;pushing the bolt forward to a stop pull the trigger and lower the bolt the rest opf the way home? Is this correct procedure or does this not work the same as other bolt action rifles? My bolt won't go all the way home? I must dry fire it to lower it all the way. correct me where I'm wrong, please?
Steve

What does that mean, it's the way it should be?

The Japanese specifically designed that rifle so you could only lower the striker by dryfiring. Nothing is wrong there.
