Bolt Question
I'm not a Carbine guy but bought a CMP Winchester Carbine off the original owner while I still can and before Holder gets 'em. Anyways, I cleared the rifle and pulled the trigger. When I did, the bolt turned slightly to the right, enough to get my attention. I did it three more times and each time it did the same. Is this normal? I don't intend to fire the rifle before it's been checked, but I thought this was strange.
TIA.

Don't blame me - I voted for Palin.

civilians in the prime of life protected by
detachments of soldiers." Winston Churchill.

Not really abnormal, I've noticed it with a couple of mine before. The hammer hitting the rear of the bolt will push it somewhat. I would definitely have the headspace checked before you fired it, though.

Try it with an empty case in the chamber and the bolt closed.
