    Question Barrel has had an odd defect?

    Ive had a mauser made by fn for Venezuelan army its been shot by me and a friend for many years but has been sitting around a while.well now ive been working on sporterizing it it doesnt have a matching bolt thinking about a new barrel because this whole time the barrel has had an odd defect Attachment 26108but the bore looks great any idea why it would be like this

    Looks like someone took a file to a rusty spot. Is there a dark spot in the bore where the defect is?

    bore is nice and shinny ya its been messed with rear site base was removed stock was hacked on for a redfield peep site, serial number on bolt doesnt match action. i thought about making it into a scout style rifle but now wanting a new barrel probably from hart and blue the whole thing.

    I guess bent and fixed. Perhaps a slight barrel bulge. Really hard to tell, but barrel looks doubtful to me.
