Two band Volunteer issue P1861
Morning all,
I restored a P1861 two bander a little while back, mainly just for the reference collection, but she appears to be a good candidate to shoot, with a good bore.
So with this in mind, I need to add her to my FAC to be able to shoot her first. Completely New to this stuffing bullets down the barrel lark, I usually shoot them out of that end!
Starting to cram up on percussion shooting now, for starters, what is a standard black powder load for a two bander guys?
There will be, without doubt more questions as I get clued up, totally new area of shooting for me...
Cheers John

mrclark: According to period references, 2.5 drams which is very close to 70 grains of the specified powder. have you had a look at "britishmuzzleloader" on youtube? he has many great videos about loading cartridges for and shooting the P53 type rifles. I can't recall if he has one specifically for the two-band variant or not.
