Anyone know with either the russian PPSH41 or Yugoicon M49/57, what is done to it when it is deactivated? The regulation in Canadaicon for deactivating seem specific, but many gunsmiths also have their methods to their madness.

Particularly on the PPSH41 / Yugo M49/57 the barrel is hinged on the frame of the receiver, I wonder if by "requirement" this would be welded shut so that the firearm could not be opened anymore, I also wonder if the bolt would be drilled out, or just the firing pin removed, ..

I wonder many things - anyone have any insight to deactivations on these older military firearms?

Cheers,
