Please help me track the history of these guns

As far back as I can remember, my great grandfather and I would take walks out to the " glass patch" where we set up old bottles and jars. I started plinking with the Winchester 270 .22. Once I was old enough I traded up to his Winchester 1200 20 ga. Back in 2004 he passed away. I got the shotgun, my one uncle the .22 which I later bought from him. So now that I finally cleaned the dust off the shotgun and started shooting again my curiosity got the best of me. So far the only info I can find is the 1200 was made between the 60's and early 80's. I also found a manual on Winchester's website. However this is about the extent of the info I can find. I'm clueless on the 270 entirely. Now the drawn out question is this: I'd like to get as much info as possible on both of these, where can I look? internet searches are turning up nothing. I have exhausted all local gun shops and PD have nothing except the 1200 is possibly pre 72 >_<.

    I'm looking for information on:
    MFG plant/ location
    MFG date
    Purchase location
    Purchase date
    # of owners
    Original msrp
    History

    Absolutely any help is appreciated!
