    Lithgow No.1 Mk3. HT

Hi, I have got the oppitunity to purchase a complete example less the canvas scope case, number matching scope to rifle, matching scope mounts, leather scope covers, bolt match.

The woodwork needs cleaning up as it has been varnished.

It is one of the 100 FTR'd in the 1954, this is clearly marked for early in the run of repairs.

Iam just after a ball park figure, as the gun does need a little loving to bring it back to what it should be.

    cheers

    Steve

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. I sold one a couple of years ago in NSW where the only original things were the receiver, mount, scope and case, also 1 of the 100 refurbed in '54. It was put together looked good and shooting okay, reblued etc (all disclosed to the buyer). I got $4300 for it. And from what I see going around I think $5000-$7000 is about the ballpark if it's pretty good and original (bar the varnish). If there were any major condition issues at all (like the wood has been heavily sanded prior to varnish etc) I'd try to start the ball rolling at parts value, say $3500 give or take, less if something is stuffed so as not to work properly.
Only my opinion on a rifle I havn't laid eyes on so take it how you will.
    Good luck with it.

Hi, thanks for this, I now own it and I paid a lot less than that for it. It will look good with the rest of the collection once restored.

    cheers
