    Is this one of these vets who lost his master eye during warfare and had to adapt?

    that same system has been used here in Australiaicon for target rifle shooting.
    right goes weak or left eye dominant, usually the rifles here have the front sight set to the left as well.
    cheers

    "Veteranenschiessen" refers to age category for classification and awards.
    The categories determine what minimum score that shooters need to get a medal or certificate. See bottom of score card

    Active = 18 to 59
    Vet =60 to 69
    Senior vet = 69+
    J = junior = 12 to 18
    JJ = junior junior = under 12

    Weapons used also affect scored needed.

    Great, this 85 years old guy is aiming with his left eye for the reason that he always did it so. He won this competition for 74 times. Great shooter.

    I'm sure they meant made the required points, not won the entire competition.

    Here a breakdown from 2000. the numbers on the top of the columns are year of birth.

    I would say he is a right handed left-eye dominant shooter............but I have been wrong before.

    I see now that someone has posted a similar opinion! It's been a while since I've been on here and the newlook/format has me a little dazed and confused.

    Is the front sight offset as well?

    It has to be. Look at the picture with three versions of the diopter sights, set at left.
