    Exclamation Underwood/Winchester WTA???

Gents, I am a Garandicon guy, not a carbine guy but I picked up what I think might be a rare Carbine. The receiver is marked Underwood, but all the parts are Winchester. The rear heel is marked WTA in capitol letters, but the serial number is not lined out? Ive heard of Lineouts but not ones that arent... Is it very rare? About how much are they worth??? (I know that is a very broad question...)

    Thanks...

It was the name that was usually lined out, not the serial number. Often they got through with the name unmolested. The WA is the Winchester marking. The T is Intertype Corp. who made the receiver for Underwood. Personally, I would call them scarce, rather than rare.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
