    Frustration

Purchased a beautiful No4 T from a seller who yesterday went to do the transfer with the CFC. The seller had packed it properly and when transfering it the CFC employee asked him the barrel length, of course we all know they made No 4's in hundreds of barrel lengths so he had to unpack it and properly measure the length which of course was the same as on the registration "over 470mm". He then asked what other marks were on the piece of metal between the stock and the front, had no idea what M47c was 'till the seller informed him what it meant. Needless to say the seller was anything but happy having to make a new cardboard box as he did such a good job on the original he had to destroy it opening it to satisfy someone at CFC who didn't have a clue what they were talking or asking about. Possibly the CFC is trying to identify the maker rather than have Lee Enfield as the make, the problem is why don't they (RCMP) try to hire employees with some basic knowledge...wait why would they change their policy of "hiring the politically correct" not the intelligent, qualified or the best?

Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

They're not concerned with us or our "property". They don't care what we want or think. They're doing their job. To keep the public safe from us! Well anyway, maybe we have a chance of this thing going away a little bit if it gets shotgunned in parliament. We can only hope! I take it you got this at the Kamloops gun show???

Nope the T came out of Ontario. I was the second caller as the first declined as the scope did not match. I did meet in Kamloops the person who called right after me and was told it was sold and we had a big laugh over that. It would be nice if the scope did match but someday maybe I will find a total match T, 'till then I know they are getting harder to find and this one is my 2nd the other being a beautiful Indian T and I am happy to have it. The gentleman that I bought it from was fantastic to deal with.

Don't forget to list the bits (aka scope and bracket) you're looking for/ have on Angel's matchmaking forum. You never know...
