    B Code Underwood Singer ??

    Found a B code Underwood today Seller said the receiver was a subcontract Singer . True ?or False ? Anyone need it? will post on WTS .

    Yes, as above it's true.

    The receivers were subcontracted to Singer. Underwoods with Singer receivers usually sell for a premium.

    Roughly serial numbers 2,630,000 to 2,655,000 (25,000) were B coded made by Singer Manufacturing Co.
    I believe some have been found out of that range.
    I don't know if all the receivers were supplied.

    "The Postman" on the CMPicon forum is collecting S/Ns from members for a database.
    Quite a few of us have Singers above the assigned range.
