    That's an extremely nice colorization.

"Lucky Strikes Green has gone to war..." The green dye used in the package printing process by Lucky Strikes became a scarce war material, thus the change to white / red from green / red.

Luckies are getting harder and harder to find... I still smoke 'em I used to buy them in Statesville, NC on the way to and from Florida, but that one closed last year.

That Lucky Strike package is so bright it just has to be a "bullet magnet." They really are hazardous to your health.

When I was in Antarctica in 76' staying in a little A-frame hut in Taylor Valley next to Lake Bonney about 70 miles from McMurdo Station they had stuffed old Korean War era c-ration boxes under the raised edges of the hut that was tied down to the ground with 3/4 inch steel cable so winter winds would not blow it away. These rations were for emergencies. We opened a box to examine the contents: a 3 pack of Winstons, beef bars (actually looked like huge beef bullion), chocolate bars that had turned white from freeze drying in the unforgiving climate, matches, p38s, utensils and cans. We pretty well assumed the stuff was useless at that point. Didn't open the cans they didn't sound right when you shook them.
