    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.     The carbine with something on the muzzle has a bayonet... note the bayonet is missing from the soldier's scabbard.

    The right one definitely doesn't have a bayonet on it. I'm sure it's a muzzle break.

    I was going to say it really doesn't look like a bayonet. I would think if it was, the fat part would be further down underneath the barrel, someone covered by the barrel. Plus, it looks fatter than a handle. I don't know. I was thinking grenade launcher attachment, but it looks fatter than that, to my eyes. Weird. Yeah, I guess it looks like one of them M3 flash hiders. It is dark out.
