    Odd Ball M1 Barrel Question

Anyone know the manufacture of this barrel. It’s marked with a crown over a scripted FR. The script looks a little like MS Word Frenchicon Script but the letters are pushed together and almost appear to be one letter. The complete marking read:

    On R/H side: Crown/FR 6535448 (large)P (small)s -1-58-X1
    On top side: H 5
On bottom side: Has witness mark like a Winchester Barrel

Gas cylinder pads cromed, Breech is parked and barrel gages nearly new. I’ve never seen a barrel like this one. It is one of the 100.00 CMPicon Rec/Barrels combo’s. The Receiver is a 1.6 mil SA. There’s Nothing else interesting about it. Donald

Here's a picture. It's the best of ten I took sorry about how bad it is.

Keep your fingers crossed. Seems the mail orders are a little better than the store pickings now. What's at the store has been looked through a bunch so it's mostly really rusty and pitted stuff now. Last two trips I did not find anything that would be all that nice after clean up. Donald
