    No "Century Monkeys" here.

Took a chance on this CETME. After hearing the internet horror stories.
    Century Arms "Monkeys".

Was at one of my local dealers when this was brought in for a "trade".

    Dropped a '70's Charter Arms Undercover .38, a H&R .16 Gauge, and $200.

Dealer told me if it didn't work...bring it back.

One of the nastiest rifles I ever cleaned!
Soot, mixed with oil/grease all over the internal parts.

Stripped everything down. Bolt. Trigger group. Buffer. Etc. Lacquer thinner, Brass brushes, etc.
Measured the bolt gap. Measured the cocking handle gap. Measured the bolt. No grinding done. It is in spec.

So far, have ran 200rds. thru it. Aqulia, Hotshot, Tula, ZQ1, and Federal XM80 7.62x51 NATO.
    It's a keeper...

Nice looking rifle. Sounds like you made a good trade.

That bottle reminds of playing cricket with some Royal Navy guys on the lawn at the Bacardi plant in 1975. The Bacardi folks were great hosts and gave us all the rum we could drink.

Cricket is a game GREATLY enhanced by judicious intake of adult beverages.

The entertainment factor rises when the PLAYERS' thirsts are also suitably "quenched".

That's tragic BP........... Your bosses really ought to be more thoughtful when they off-load you in these out of the way, boring, run-down unexciting tropical paradise islands. I expect you're all spending your days bored out of your skulls, drinking tea, knitting socks for the needy and rehearsing for Sunday morning Hymn practice. I'll have a word with your boss
