I have a question
I looked at a couple of carbines this past week that a friend's father is thinking of selling. The first one was a Saginaw S'G' with a BA barrel about 3000 into the first block of numbers. Would this be the right barrel for this range?
The second carbine was an Inland with a 44 barrel date (no month) and a serial number from the third block if I rember correctly. It had a type II barrel band and a push saftey would these be correct?

The Buffalo Arms ( BA ) barrel would be correct for an early IP or S'G' carbine. An inland in the 5.4 million range that has a barrel with just the year would be correct as many Inland barrels did not have the complete date stamped on them in the fall of 1944. hth
