CZ quality control?
A few months ago I bought a new CZ 75 in 9mm because of its legendary reliability. I soon had problems with it. When I pulled the trigger the hammer would drop into half-cock instead of firing the cartridge. I sent it back to CZ and they corrected the problem. After taking it to the range again a new and more serious problem developed. The slide stop was no longer operative. It would not hold the slide back after the last shot was fired nor could it be worked manually. It wouldn't turn. When I removed it to disassemble the pistol the slide could not be separated from the frame. I called CZ and spoke with Scott. He emailed me a prepaid FedEx label to return the pistol. I have now received a card from CZ advising me that the average wait for warranty repairs was 4-6 weeks!
Last night on another site I read a post from a guy whose problems are even worse than mine. In the past month he bought TWO brand new CZ pistols and had to return both to CZ for repair. Other readers of his post reported that similar lapses in quality control have also started appearing with SIG products.
