Bren non rotating sling hooks
Did non rotating Bren sling hooks see as much service use as the rotating type, please? Were they only produced in Canada? Thanks for any replies and information.

Went to the brp website and saw that they have sling hooks like yours. They have steel and brass ones and list them as mk1 parts. That said they make no statements about where from. Wish I could help more.

I never saw them as Bren sling hooks

Do you mean by that, that you didn't like them because they were cheaply made or you believe that they are intended for something else? Thanks

I have seen those hooks sewn onto the ends of straps on bags and other equipment back when I was a parachute rigger. I remember 1 canvas airdrop bag that when empty was rolled up and had 1 of those hooks sewn onto it that hooked to a ring that was also sewn onto the bag. I hated those bags because if you did not roll them right the hook and ring did not come together or ended up inside the roll somewhere. I cant remember the name of the bag but its the 44 gallon drum size not he 4ft square

I've got a box of 20 unused examples; I'll look it out.

It will be interesting to see what the label states on the box of unused examples when I locate the box.
