Will O's programs crowd out religion? Maybe ...
from hotair.com
Quote of the dayposted at 10:30 pm on March 3, 2009 by Allahpundit
“I do not doubt the sincerity of Obama’s religious intentions. But while many social conservatives have pointed a spotlight on Obama’s socially liberal policies (repealing the Mexico City Policy, for example) few have paid attention to the likely impact his stimulus, bailout, and economic welfare programs will have.
One unremarked and unintended consequence of Barack Obama’s audacious plans for the expansion of government—especially in health care, education, and the environment—is that the nanny state he is seeking to build will likely crowd out religious institutions in America. In other words, if he succeeds in passing his ambitious agenda, the Obama revolution is likely to lead the United States down the secular path already trod by Europe…
In the United States, as Alexis de Tocqueville observed, religious institutions have long provided crucial social and moral ballast to the individualistic ethos of our nation. For instance, as political scientist Arthur Brooks pointed out in his recent book, Who Really Cares , religious Americans are significantly more likely to give to charity and to volunteer their time than are secularists. In 2000, he found, for instance, that ninety-one percent of regular churchgoers (those who attend religious services nearly every week or more frequently) gave money to charities, compared to sixty-six percent of secularists (those who attend religious services a couple times a year or not at all); moreover, sixty-seven percent of churchgoers volunteered, compared to forty-four percent of secularists.
This is why, even though Obama’s audacious agenda might provide short-term relief to the economic and social challenges that now beset us, over the long term the Obama revolution is likely to erode first the religious and then the civic and moral fabric of the nation.”

I see that happening, and very quickly too.
We are totally outnumbered by sheeple, and they will serve to catalize what has been written above. We're 1930's Germany all over again.
That's why I belong to JPFO. I do NOT want a repeat of what happened to Jews back then.

The anti-war, anti-religion, anti-big oil, anti-corporation, anti-gun, anti-everything kooks have been active for years. They have kinda been working in the background, thriving in places like the Left Coast where the granola eaters were gaining momentum.
Everytime a fruit fly died it was earth shattering. As they began to move eastward and merge with the Big East elites, they knew their day was upon us. What was their next goal?
Pick someone for president who could squash the Clintons, get the support of the liberal left media, be able to speak so well he/she could sell ice to eskimos, and be dumb as a tick. Bingo, they found their man in Baraaak Obamma.
Religion is rapidly moving back to the Roman days, where services will have to be held secretly in caves.

He's aready announced that America is no longer a Christian country. He will push the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which will require all hospitals (and all OB/GYNs) to offer abortions. This will drive many religious people out of medicine, and will close many hospitals run by churches.

Jews were once a major, perhaps THE major, component of the American left-wing and what is now called "liberalism". But now Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah and other radical Islamic groups have become the latest radical chic. Thanks in part to a huge infusion of Saudi Wahhabi money into the Democratic party and leftist causes, the "liberals" have become strongly anti-Jewish.
We once heard expressions like "Hitler stopped too soon" from right-wing hate groups like the KKK; now we hear it more and more often from the left. Left wing blogs and web sites blame the Jews for 9/11 and for all the problems in the Middle East. "We must end the **** influence in American politics," screamed one leftist web site poster, and assured his readers that Obama would do that. Another "liberal" said that Obama would order the "extermination of the Jew scum" within minutes of his inaugural, along with executing Bush, Cheney and every military officer; banning all religions but Islam; imposing Sharia on the country; etc.
A disturbing aspect of such nonsense is that the loonies really seem to have believed it. Since Obama has not done those things (and probably won't), those hate-filled "liberals" will be out to get him, and perhaps not politically.

What bothers me most is why so many gun owners voted for this slime bag. You are now seeing what your treason is begetting. Had you remained true to the 2nd A and voted against this one who was always anti up until he lied to get elected, you might have less fear now.

Im wondering where you got your statistics re: Gun owners who voted for Obama. I dont know of any in my circle of aquaintances, Nor have I heard of any except "the Gun Owners of America", I believe it was, who numbered about 3 and were probably Left Wing Loons to begin with. Dont forget, even those staunch supporters of Gun Control, ala Fat Rosie, et al, make sure THEY have guns. And they probably believe that the Messiah will have exemptions ready for them from any onerous laws which he will try to shove down our throats. They have never been on our side, and they never will be.

Believe me there were many, many, many gun owners who voted for obamy. I know most of my union relatives did, and they are all hunters.
What is the count now of gun owners in America? Isn't it something like 80 million? If every one of them voted their guns, no gun hater would ever be elected.

My relatives voted for him.
They are all originally from Arkansas and all are yellow dog democrats. They hunt, fish, and gripe endlessly about taxes, gun regulations, intrusive government policy and rich Republicans. Then they go out and vote a straight DemocRAT ticket.
I call it stupidity gone to seed. Seems they all worship at the feet of their savior, FDR, and his disciple H.S. Truman. They have disowned me and get real PO'd every time I tell them "THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PRO GUN DEMOCRAT!"

I have a friend who is Jewish, I took him out shooting in the desert and he loved it. His son wants to go every time I go. I had my friend look at JFPO site on the net and he remarked they were a bunch of right wing nuts. He says that he could never vote for a Republican. It must be something in the water he drinks.
