model 12 riot gun from ww1
looking for info on a model 12 riot gun from ww1. this gun was built in 1917, it has usmc and flaming bomb on right side of receiver, flaming bomb on barrel, barrel is marked cyl. the butt stock has stamped with cross cannons and also has 1916 stamped in the stock. this gun is original blued but has had pistol grip repaired with another one grafted on. excellent job and looks to be a very old repair. what would be a fair value for this gun? anything else to look for to prove or disprove what it seems to be.., thanks for any info i can take some pics if need be. john

Detailed photos will be required to make any sort of determination on your shotgun. It's all too easy to "create" far more valuable military version from a garden variety police purchase example. Without further info, it'll be hard to comment further.
Welcome to the forums, BTW.
