Try http://www.fultonsofbisley for a range scale. They service and repair these sights and may have a spare. Good luck.
It installs using a long rear trigger guard screw and coil spring that replaces the standard SMLE safety spring.

If you look at the safety, you will see how it goes on. You remove the safety and place this against the side of the receiver and replace the parts that fit. The trigger guard screw has to be longer though I think...
Brian was typing as I was. He probably stocks the long screw.

If it's just the index plate, then it should be simplicity itself to make. A good sliding fit, two index lines scribed in place and an elongated slot for zeroing adjustment. Or certainly easy to make somethong to keep you on the road so to speak. Maybe someone can put up a photo of the actual plate

Well.............. go on someone............. quick photo!
But your problems dont quite end there Fremen. You'll also need the index plate screw and from my experience, the thread could be........, well....., anything really! If pre No4 Enfield threads were a complete engineering mystery, then P-H sight were something from another orbitory planet!
