You'd have to boil that one for a week to get all the bacon grease off...

Besides his description being off, what is wrong with the rifle itself? It looks like a re-arsenaled post Korean War rifle. I personally don't want to pay that price, but from the standpoint of "what to look for" am I missing something? Please enlighten me. Thanks.

Nothing wrong with it as shown for a shooter. My opinion it's worth the opening bid of $850 but not the buy it now of $1,850. Late features as expected for the SN range. Mixed maker parts just from what's shown. IBM LW-B marked stock, SG recoil plate. And would need some TLC.

Okay thanks for the clarification. That was basically what I thought but I guess I just didn't get it.

I guess he means since the rebuild(s). Note the multiple 'P's on the front of the pistol grip, meaning Proofed after overhaul. Yeah, it probably would bring $800 being a Winchester, but it sure ain't no cherry!

Unfired? Minty? If you look close it has been Augusta Arsenal stamped twice and the "Ps" on the grip are also multiple stamps. (Earlier I posted erroneously Aniston). Some of you may remember I have a OI stock that has been through rebuild three times, two ANs and one AAD.
