    Remington 541X

Just picked up a 541X in CMPicon box at the Tulsa Gun show. It had a barrel date code EE, so a 1984 gun. My question is on the serial number. Did the 541X have its own serial number range or was it mixed in with the serial numbers of the 541 series of guns. Thanks Steve
