Even pellet guns deserve a bit of love.
Hi folks,
A local fellow contacted me recently and asked me if I was willing to refurb a pellet gun that was given to his son. I can't say no, especially if it means a young dude will be shooting with a smile on his face....
I forgot to take a "before" pic of the stock, but here's one of the metal:
The wood was a mess too, but complete. It needed glueing, and crack filling, and then staining and acrylic finishing (the young owner wanted something glossy). The metal needed lots of love, with a brass wire wheel, then I simply cold-blued it. Mechanically speaking, the piston seal was dirty but in salvageable shape, and so once it was cleaned and the cylinder cleaned too, everything worked ok. Yay!
Lou

I've got fond memories of my air rifles as a kid. Very nice job.

Looks like the ones we bought out of Canadian Tire for $16 with tomato picking money...Remember those Lou?

I wish some one would explain this to my wife.
