    Yes, issued to 1st and 6th Airborne Division in Europe some time after March 1945. No evidence - yet - of combat use, but the No5 was certainly in the troops hands by the time they re-occupied Denmarkicon and Norwayicon in the last days of the European war.

    Same story in the Far East - the same paratroops were sent to join the final battles against the Japaneseicon, but it appears that they arrived in time to help re-occupy territories from the surrendering Japanese. No record to date of actual WW2 combat, but almost certainly used in anger in the same regions within a few days of the technical end of WW2.

    I saw video (World at War series) where two paras in Englandicon celebrating VE day and they had No 5 over their shoulders.
