Smith-Corona Correct Stock??
I picked up a Smith- Corona serial number 4,762,xxx. It appears to have all correct Smith-Corona parts. However, I'm not sure of the stock. Stock has no rework stamp. RA, crossed cannons and initials FJA in the side. Proof mark P. It has a Remington butt plate and Remington type inspection marks in front of the trigger guard in the wood.
My question: Is it possible that this stock is original to the rifle???

Except for the stock all metal(bands, bolt etc.) are 100% Smith- Corona. Parts are blued where they are supposed to be blued etc. , mint bore with 99% metal. The original owner bought it in the late 1950's or early 1960's from the DCM. However, no paper work or box. The Remington stock is in mint condition.
Any idea on the general value?
