Talking CMP barreled receivers are home!

I received both correct dated barreled receivers today. The 2855613 is in great condition. The ME=1 and the TE=3. It has the original finish however light and slighly rusty. It cleaned up quite nice! I put an old Boyd stock set I've had around for a long while and the other parts some of you helped me with. The op-rod is a D35382 SA, the trigger housing a small pad WRA, trigger guard is an early milled SA no drawing number, bolt a 12 and all the other small parts WWII correct for the rifle. The rear sight is a new SA T105E1. I'm pleased with how it turned out

It is all put together and will be presented to my Son Jeffrey for his 17th birthday next month.

The 565141 receiver, well let's just say I sent CMPicon an email! More on that later when I see what they are going to do.

I think your son will be pleased. I know mine was when I gave him one.

My son is 13. Everytime I pull an M1icon out of the safe, he ask if that one is his. I have one earmarked for him when the time is right, along with a carbine. He has grown up around guns, shooting and hunting. He will probably end up with the majority of them anyway. Can't think of a more honorable gift for a father to give his son, and there is not a more deserving rifle for such an occasion. Extremely special. Job well done.

Jeff got a 100% original transitional Winchester M1icon carbine for his birthday last year. I've started him on the way to a nice collection already.
