    Introduction

Been surfing around for a good collectors forum & this one looks good. I have a small collection that I have been working on for a few years. Here's my carbine a fairly low # Winchester, has all win. parts except for the stock which is a Rock- Ola. Is an I cut stock correct for this serial range of Winchester?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I have a note scratched down here that has I cut Hi-woods on WRA up to about 1,153,591. Oval cut Hi-wood came in at about 1,067,649 until end of first serial # block. So some overlap should be expected until the I cuts were used up.

That's what my note say's anyway....

    Welcome

Welcome to the board! These folks are great and I have learned so much info from just reading some of their posts over the last few months.

Oh, I suppose no one told you that there is a "newbie" picture post requirement? All newbies have to post at least 12 pictures of each of their Carbine... so get posting!

Seriously, welcome to the family and enjoy the club!
