    saginaw 5.8 million

    purchased this rifle d have some questions about it ,it looks nearly new with one small scrach on butt all metal matchs wood is rsg and matches push saf,flip sight every part sg marked except for one part which is in the white and marked from g.rapids part why would that be the only partout of place cacti50

    I don't think that is true even if that is what some of the books say. I think Saginaw sent their parts to Grand Rapids to complete carbines. Saginaw wanted to get back to making diesel engines at their plant. They had talks with Ordnance about that. Ordnance looked at both plants as Saginaw and did not care who started making engines or continued making carbines. The IP plant was rented buildings so they could finish up carbine production and move out.
