Claude Strother, Texas, chopper pilot, shot down on his second tour. When I talked to him home on leave just after he found out he was going to fly choppers, he was beaming from ear to ear. He loved to fly.
Richard Neyola, Texas. Ran into him on a bus from Pendleton to Oceanside. He was going overseas, I was going home. He never made it home.
