A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I have recently acquired scope tin U33170, containing Mount U33170 and Mk. 3 scope 23969 (according to the label in the tin, this is evidently a completely matched set). If this matches your rifle, let's talk.

I have a 90L8077 square corner Belling & co No8 tin. It looks as though it was matched up with other scope(s) in the past as the internal label area has marks from a previous label and lid stencil was applied by hand in another kind of white paint with evidence of the old number being sanded off. (edit: looks like this was someones force matched cast off after searching the web)

Have Scope 24187 and rifle 31703 looking for its tin.
