End of the line for 1903s? - South Store Report 21 May.

Upon arrival this morning, only 5 or 6 LN SA 1903s remained in the racks and they soon disappeared. I watched the last one, which showed several characteristic USMC modifications, go as well. The 1903 rack was empty. That may be the end, at least for now. The North Store may still have some and as of yesterday, they were still listed on the CMPicon website.

No Service or Correct grade Garands were on display. The only Garands out were the $995 Special (walnut stocks! Very nice rifles that made a handsome picture with their Turner slings); Field Grade & woodless Winchester Rack grades. The only Mossberg 44s left were without sights & most were missing trigger guards. About 10 Krags remained; most bores were poor but the stocks were in fair - good shape. I saw a 1900 & 1901 cartouche. No stocks were spilt or chipped although they all showed a mass of small dents & dings from movie days. None were stamped with movie house ID. There were about 10 1917s in the racks; one had a decent bore & good stock. If I was after a 1917, it would clean up fine. Lots of carbines in the racks. About a dozen Kimber 22s left.
