    Question Little OT, but I need some advice

    I bought a barreled receiver off of an accomplished high power shooter a few years ago with the intent to build my own long range rifle for possibly F class shooting.
    Well I don't think I will ever get to that and with retirement not long off, the investment is more than I want to do. My question is I would like to sell the BR and have no idea on what to ask, I think I paid $350 a few years ago.
    It's a short action Rem 700 and bolt with a 220 Swift Krieger barrel with a good bit of throat erosion. What's a good price for equipment like this and is there a market for it.
    Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

    Guys like that action for the same reason you boought it-they make custom rifles out of them. I've sold a couple and the guys told me I could keep my wood. I got $300 for each of mine, that might be a little low, but that's what I had in them.

    Sounds like the barrel has seen it's better days. The action has some value depending on what was done to it before you bought it. Was it trued aka blueprinted? Does it have the trigger guard, trigger, action screws magazine?
    Stock trigger or custom trigger?

    The only value is in the action, and if you can get your money back, you are doing well. If it is not complete, ie., no bottom metal, then you will have to settle for less.

    I shot out a remington 700 in .243 back in 2004 and sold it for $250. It was the rifle with the black fiberglass stock and was never worked on other then a trigger job.

    Tom;

    Can I ask...is it a newer or an older one?...what serial range...(you don't have to give the whole serial#) Also, has it got the anti-bind slot cut in the front bolt lug?..bottom metal? Bolt handle altered?.. ..I might be interested...just need to know more...email me off-site if you like:
