    Odd looking M1 on GB

    While doing a little window shopping, I saw this rifle with a very odd looking SN - the numbers seem small and close together - and I would think a rifle in that range would have the SN in the larger font.

    Looks Photoshopped. I noticed a lot of artifacts around the serial number. It's my guess that the serial number is from another M1icon pic that was slightly smaller in scale.

    Looks like a commercial SA inc receiver although SN should start with a 7. Front sight cut through dovetail too wide and rear handguard looks like a fat commercial repro.

    Bill,

    Better yet, ask for a photo of a heat lot and drawing number if any. This receiver has has previous markings ground off and reingraved with a new logo and serial number, highly illegal. This is not the first time this has happened.

    that font def looks to be of current SA inc production.. course now I cant find a photo to compare the 2...
