i have the one made by Clint Fowler. it just uses one adjustable screw so i made some more screws with different size holes in them like the McCANN system and they work very well. yes getting the McCANN system was a wise move on your part. HTH

The McCann plug is great for skowing down the action and reducing wear and tear and improved accuracy in the M1s I installed it on. The greatest benefit is in rifles with new or in spec gas systems which have lots of extra power available (too much for non-combat use). It may not do much in a rifle with a worn out gas system, and some of these may short stroke if any gas is bled off. Be sure to have a full cleaning kit or weights in the buttstock and make sure to pull the rifle into your shoulder with good form for reliable operation.
