In that case it's already busted...personally, I think that's a bit much. But I'm a bit cheap when it comes to some of these things.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... How do you get round the "not US made" with these Brian, no US parts count etc.......or is it just because it lacks a receiver so its OK?

Not U.S. made is fine. It's U.S. military manufactured items that are a no-no. To be honest, I sort of held my breath that the barrel import ban in place here would have the Form 6 import permit back on my desk disapproved but it didn't happen. There is an import ban on barrels, bolts and breech blocks since July 2005. I was pleasantly surprised and very happy for my client who bought the full kit, (L12A1), from Fultons. I was completely honest in it's description on the import permit application and luckily the permit was approved. Our illustrious, (read clueless!), leader banned all U.S. manufacture, both standard issue and lend-lease Curio and Relic firearms imports in the Fall of 2013 so there will be no more unless another administration changes the laws.

There is a Brit surplus kit at collectors source right now for around $1K Cdn. Looks like someone may have sanitized some of the military tags on it, but a nice kit overall.

Looks like a home made box to me. We had two sorts and none of them were like that! Looks like one of the magazines is from an FN, - missing the L1A1 front lug ?

That looks like the box we had here Peter. That would make sense. He's in Ontario and has his fingers in Crown Disposal. He also has a huge clientele so he could have "Gotten it" else where... The mags do have the front lug...look again...
