    Hi everyone,
I have been (still am!) a collector of militaria for over 50 years. From 1850s until 1945. Mainly weapons related. WWI and WWII, MGs, SMGs, rifles and a few hand guns are my main interest. Also a few swords, bayonets and ordnance pieces along the way. Unfortunately I like them all and haven't narrowed my field yet and £££s permitting of course. I am not an expert on anything but wish to gain more knowledge from fellow collectors as yourselves. Hopefully contributing when I can.

    Retired in IOWA

I finally got my hands on a nice 1903-A3 built by Smith-Corona. I carried one on campus back in the day at Chafee Union High School in California.

I am retired USAF Master Sergeant and retired Air Force contractor in support of national overhead systems.

I collect firearms as they grab me - if I only had time and weather to shoot more I would be HAPPY.

Hi folks! Glad to be here. I am fairly new to collecting and I am mainly interested in 1911s and M1icon Garands. Looking forward to meeting y'all!

    Greetings all,

My name is Psyoper and I’m happy to be here! I need some help decoding a Lee Enfield stock disc. It on a very nice SMLE #1Mk3. This one is all matching, with the original T type Cocking Piece, Magazine Cutoff, and Long-Range Volley Sight. It was made by BSA in 1915. I’m pretty sure that the 12 15 on top means that it was accepted into service in December of 1915, and I’m pretty sure that the 255 on the bottom is a rack number. What I need to know is; what does the “10 LEIC” mean?

    Thanks!

    P.S. How do I post a picture?

    Just registered

Just a few minutes ago. I was at one time an avid Milsurp collector but not so much in the past 7 years. I sold many of my guns for medical bills in 2012 but have hung onto my favorites. I'm down to a Yugoicon SKS, a K31 and a M1881 Swissicon Vetterli.

I have immediate family members who are also milsurp buffs so I have access to loaners.

I'm a shooter and hunter. If it doesn't shoot it's of no interest to me. I also enjoy hunting with my rifles and have used my favorite K31 to kill hogs and elk.

So, that's me in a "nut" shell.

    New old guy

Hello everyone. I'm new here but have been collecting since I bought a Trapdoor off the wall in the local butcher shop in 1963. Actually I traded muskrat hides for it. Still have it. Started out really into the Civil War, then on to the Fur Trade which was huge in our area. Always had an interest in history and archaeology etc. Now working on WWII era firearms and related items. As a kid I always loved buying the old surplus guns and cleaning them up. I remember WWI Frenchicon rifles for $5.00 thru the mail. "Guns" magazine had Lugers and P38's for $39.95.
Hope to have some fun here and learn.
