    New guy from BC eh!!

    Hi everyone,

Just signed up...great site!! I live in Abbotsford, B.C and was born an Army Brat. My dad was a Combat Engineer and retired a Capt. He served in Korea in 1952. I have been collecting Militaria for over 40 years, but only got serious about it around 10 years ago when I bought my First Army Jeep...a 1952 US Army M38...sold it and bought a 1942 "script" Willys MB that I still have. I mainly collect 1941-1963 US Army items..uniforms,radio gear, helmets and just about anything Engineer related. I own a Browning HP and 2 Garands (1943 & 1944) a 1944 Winchester M1 Carbine and a NORC M14icon.

I can be found on canadiangunnutz,g503,us militariaforum and others as 42MB or IA291E.

If this sort of thing interests you too...drop me a line...always looking to make new friends.

    Steve...aka 42MB

    Springfield M1903-A3 6/1944

Hello, here a post from the Netherlands. Recently bought a Springfield M1903-A3 Remington #3990989. Build from un-issued original WW2 parts, two groove barrel 6/1944, new C-stock, all parts marked "R". It has never been fired. My dealer suggests to shoot reduced loads, Hornady A-Max 150 gr with 27,5 gr of N110 powder. Factory loads are to heavy he says. I will start reloading myself in the near future. Does anyone of you have any experience in .30-'06 loads for this particular rifle? There is very little documentation to get over here.

Hope to learn from you folks.
