Hey everyone. I'm a new guy from the high desert area of southern California. I'll collect and shoot about anything I can find but lately I've decided to collect M1 carbines. Bought a few, bought a couple of books and realize that I have to study like a college class just to figure out what I have. And this is supposed to be a hobby. But I love to shoot and collect carbines. Cataloging will have to come later.

First firearm I bought while in college, was an AC43 P-38 for $25; paid $5 per week, from my budgeted meals allowance. Started a fantastic journey meeting new friends and iron for over 50 years. Thanks to a loving and understanding wife; we raised a son who shares the love of "the chase". Formerly a member of TGCA, OGCA AGCA,GACA; NRA Life since 1963 and member of Smoky Mtns GCA.
Weekend shooter at local gun club, with my son, a Life NRA member for 25 years. Life is GOOD! My friends include from a Pa/Ky rifle, to a 1973 Trap Door, thru 03's A3,s, both WWII M1's, an M1A and an AR. I have a hand shaking relationship w/ 1911's and A1's. (Did I say that life is good?).
