Good evening all.
I thought I would take this opportunity to say hello and make a suggestion (if I may be so bold) to the site management... change the initial welcome message. I really don't know what a 'pubic forum post' is and I have no intention of finding out, let alone making one.
Still, looks like a nice site you have here. I look forward to pushing my pea-sized brain to the limit in a vain attempt to soak up all the the information spewed forth by the apparently very knowledgable members on here.

New Krag owner in KY
I just joined the forum and would like to say "Hi" to everyone. I recently purchased my first Krag, a model 1898 rifle that has been cut down to carbine length. I also have several Swedish Mausers, Mosin-Nagant rifles, and other milsurps.

New member introduction
Hello. I've acquired an interest in WW II era small arms and this seemed to be an appropriate venue to feed my habit. I'm an attorney in Southern Oregon in civilian life, and an infantry officer who's seen service in Afghanistan and Iraq as an avocation.

Enfields are my obsession
Hi;
I am a new member. I am 50+ and have been collecting on and off since 1972.
Alot of nice stuff has passed through my hands, but re-aquiring can be difficult.
I am currently searching markings on 1950`s Fazakerley No.4 Mk.2 enfields
Any help is appreciated!!! Looking forward to further discussions..
All the Best
Phil. (enfieldman)

Hello folks,
I'm more curious than a collector. I'm new to this web-site. I can't believe the information passing
through here...............outstanding. I hope to learn from your collective (no pun intended) experiences.
Thanks,

Neverhomeboy here, been a garand fan from way back in 1961 at basic training, Fort Dix, N.J. Fired them in the National Guard for seven years after that. Bought my first rifle from DCM for $96, I beleive, in the mid 80's, have collected a few more sinse than. Did shoot in high power matches for many years, but have now lost my sight in my shooting eye so that has come to an end, still enjoy picking them up and holding them!

1911 Remmington Rand 45 acp
I got a interesting 45.
This is a Remmington Rand Inc Parkerized with inspector"JM" still in new condition. What bothers me is:
1918 Colt frame s/n 233601-580600 (blue book info)
1943 1st Remmington Rand s/n **916405-1041404
It does not have any other stampings.
The s/n; 276XXX
What catagory does this fall into and what is the value??
