Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Hello, My name is Pyatte and I'm just trying to find some answers to some gun questions.. My father in-law passed away this year and has several weapons that I don't know much about so I thought this would be a good way to learn what I can. We now have a 4 10 Black Prince, Winchester Model 47, Springfield Model 15, 20 Gauge BuckEye model 1865, Glennfield Model 75 and a Universal M1 icon

I just acquired an M-1. My good friend, and longtime forum member DaveN just gave, yes gave me an M-1. It is a 1955 H&R, service grade. I've always wanted one, and he very graciously obliged me with a rifle from his collection. Thanks Dave!!!!!

I'm looking forward to gleaning info on these famous, awesome rifles from Y'all.

New old fart member; primary interest is the Garand, which was the rifle I was issued during my army days. No experience at all with the M14 icon

, but familiar with the AR 15 which doesn't feel right after the Garand! Hope to profit from the superior knowledge of you guys. Thanks in advance.
