A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. New member here. Have a general interest in military surplus rifles/pistols. Own a few and looking for more. Standard WWII stuff like the Finnishicon M39, Swissicon K31, a few M1s, two M1icon Carbines, the obligatory 1903A3, a newly acquired Lee Enfield Longbranch No4 Mk1 and a No5 Mk1.

This board looks like a good source for info.

Hi. Looks like a great forum. Been interested in Mil Surplus forever and been collecting for a number of years. Have really started adding to collection when the kids left home. Wife told me she would be leaving home if I bought any more "guns" ....sure gonna miss her!

    Hello all,

As my user name or handle implies, My name is Clyde and I'm from North Carolina in the US.

I've been collecting milsurps for about twenty years, since I was a teenager. My first milsurp was a German G98/40 my father gave me for Christmas one year. I wanted a K98icon but ended up with the rather rare 98/40. Still have it, too.

I've been interested in and concentrated mostly on the US stuff, with occasional side trips to German, Russianicon, Japaneseicon and others. I like them all! Besides US rifles like Garands and '03s and 1911s and such, my other passion would be Enfields. I have a real weak spot for them.

My collection is small but has been built with care. I have gotten more and more picky as time went on, and have ended up with a few very nice safe queens and a number of nice shooters.

    Hello Everyone

I am a new member and just found this site. I have been collecting for over 20 years and have recently just gotten bitten by the milsup bug again. I look forward to seeing what everyone is collecting and learn as much as possible.

    New Member Says Hello

    Hi Everyone,
I just found this site and am very impressed with what it contains. I am specifically interested in and collect SMLE's and No. 4's. I'll probably be mostly a reader of what is being said on here in the beginning, but hope to get more involved as my computer skills develop.

Hi, new member with the ink still wet on his new C&R license. First thing I bought with it was an M18956 Nagant. revolver. 1937 Tula arsenal with the holster, lanyard, cleaning rod, and takedown tool. Got one box of the Fiocchi ammo, and gathering the stuff to reload it. I aready have a Mosin Nagant 91/30, and will be getting an M44 soon.
