new member getting back to shooting
Hi Members,
Am a 52 year collector of Military items. Favorites are Lee Enfields, 03 Springfields, M1 Carbines and associated military handguns. Carried S&Ws for work for many years.
Am getting back into shooting MORE as I need to and have missed being able to do it.
Am wanting to refit target sights to my Long Lees and No 3s and 4s. Lost most of my sights in a fire years ago. Found 2 PH9Gs squirreled away and need a base for Long Lee if one is for sale. May try to get a Central for No3s or 4s too as they interest me. Any info into the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks,
-

Greetings from Sand Lake
Since my disabilities forced me into an early retirement some years ago, and to keep active, I built a quite extensive 17th – early 20th century book collection. Over the past few month’s I have gone back to what first fueled my collective fervor, and that was milsurp rifle’s. Books are one thing; you put the valuable one’s in a case and never touch, but to me, rifles are like horses, with attention, and proper care, they will perform their best on the range.
My latest toys are a “scrubbed” 8mm Czech k98, and I am currently waiting on a Yugoslavian SKS M59/66. I look forward to the resources that this group, and its many combined years of experience and knowledge will offer.

Newbie looking for some help IDing a surplus bag of sorts...
Hi, Gang,
I've mostly hung around on the Military Collector's Forum but have been a milsurp addict/C&R holder for a number of years and am nowadays helping friends move along the military-related stuff they've collected over the years. I try not to fill the house with too much milsurp gear (it's hard), because I sure love the stuff...

A Vermonter that just joined; hello to all.
Now living in Burlington, Vt. and loving the no-snow winter! Coming up on 83 years but still healthy. I never go to doctors for fear they will tell me something different! I served in Korea 1952/1953; wounded and decorated and got out as an E-5. I have an M1 hanging in my den and can still do pretty well with it. I collect nothing but "accumulate" all sorts of stuff. I am looking for info on a sawtooth WoodmanPal so will try my first post pretty soon.

New guy from Vermont
Greetings to all; I just signed up a day or so ago and just now getting around to introducing myself. Not much to say; born and grew up in Iowa, Joined the Army in 1952 and spent 18 months in Korea as a rifleman. Wounded, decorated and no desire to re-enlist! Came home, got married, farmed until I went broke, went to work in a power plant and that turned out to be my calling. Moved to Vt. to manage generation facilities for the City of Burlington and retired in 1995 after 27 years there. I have 7 kids, 6 boys and one girl and god knows how many grandchildren. Closing in on 83; where did the time go? I "collect" nothing but seem to accumulate a great deal; Stanley planes, many firearms, edged weapons and junk. I have an M1 Garand, an M1 IBM carbine and a 1911 Colt .45 that I liberated from the Army. Don't tell!! My recent post was about a Woodmans Pal w/a sawtooth edge and metal sheath. I have 3 'Pals now and don' know what I will do with them. Suggestions welcome. All for now (old men do get long-winded don't they? Glad to be here. Tom from Vermont
