I am looking for some input. I've purchased a sweet looking M1917 Eddystone in excellent condition, its got the mixed bag of parts, but a beautiful looking rifle. i haven't had the chance to exam her yet, shes in transit to my ffl dealer. the concern im having is the rifle looks as though its been rebuilt at GM? and has a some what new Johnson Automatics Barrel installed. i was wondering how worried i should be about the receiver being cracked. it was advertised as being in excellent condition on Gunbrokers.com so i threw the dice. anybody got any thoughts on the matter?

Hello everyone.
I am happy to join the community and hope to meet new friends. My interest is Lee Enfield WW2 and the Snider so far. I am not a collector or a reseller, just interested in learning more about the hobby. I live halfway between Peterborough and Ottawa and have my own range.

Without pictures it is impossible to comment. Post in the M1917 section with lots of photos when you have it in your hands. The experts will soon be along to help.

Good Morning. My name is Robert, and I have a Milsurp weapons habit. It is not a large collection, nor does it consist of extraordinary examples of Misurp rifles. But it is all mine, and they are all shooters. Unfortunately what I have not been is a collector of large ammo stockpiles, so I am limited on what I can shoot and how often.
