I used to target shoot a .222 back in the 60's and reloaded my own ammunition. As a vet this was too light for euthanasia of large animals, so it went for a 30:30 carbine which I still have.
In 1985 I bought my first No.1 Mk 3 Lee Enfield (Indian made) and the 2nd a few months back (Lithgow, Australianicon) made. I also have a Styer .223 which is very accurate.
The Indian one is now being 'accurized' according to Roger Wadham's book, I may look at the Lithgow one later.
I am also reloading ammo for these calibres and note the advances in information & technology over the years. Pity my eyesight wasn't as good as it was back then!

Another new guy here (actually, sorta old geezer). Been "collecting" off and on for quite a while - first purchase was a 1871 Mauser in 1960 while I was still a teenager, and anyone could just buy through the mails (still have that Mauser). Looking for a bit more focus to my interests, and this forum looks to be a valuable resource. Even have my C&R license to play with.

I restore and build vintage guns, mostly military, but started on gun kits. I prefer 19th century stuff now this changed too from the pieces I used in service.

Right now I am searching for a action pin screw for a francotte 1878 action pin.

I joined a while ago but this is my first post. I started collecting about 50 years ago but haven't acquired a large collection. My first purchase was a full-stocked SMLE from Sears for $9.99! I have since had an interest in .303s and now have a Long Branch No.4, and 3 Ross rifles, a sporterised Mark II, an unmodified Mark III, and an odd model that I can't identify. I also have a Venezuelan 7x57, a Yugoicon M-48, a Ljungman 6.5x55, all original, and a couple of other .22s. My collector pistols include 2 Broomhandles, one with wood holster/stock. Now that I have retired, I am hoping to actually get to shoot some of these,
and I was very glad to see the instructions on making sure my Ross was safe!

    Hello

Hi, just joined. Current interests are FALs and the Bren gun. Just beginning to learn about Brens although I have been a 'gun crank' for almost 50 years...and bless Elmer Keith!--Jerry

    Hello from the PNW

I was steered to your site by a friend that's also a member of the Fal and AK Files. I've been a collector for 15-20 years now. I like mostly WW2 Germanicon and japanese as well as Post war Russianicon, Czechicon and other Commie things.

I'm looking forward to learning more about my collection and I hope I can help contribute to the site as well.
