G'day Milsurp. I'm an Aussie from Perth now living in the Windy City (Chicago). I am starting to build an All Aussie firearms collection, initially targeting the famous Lithgow 303s and hopefully an original L1A1 (eventually). Learned to shoot the 303 at cadets and love the Lithgow heritage. I am reading everything I can to get insights, trolling gunboards, gunbroker and Enfield boards and now MilSurplus. Looking forward to learning, contributing, and hopefully purchasing some high quality collectable examples. I also want to shoot them - not looking for Safe Queens.
Great to be here. Cheers

Thanks for the add!
Thanks for the add!
Many interests here, partly getting some help with an Enfield which is missing all the important parts.
Also into (replica) muzzleloaders. Enjoy my 45 cal 1851 revolver, a kit Kentucky pistol and kit Kentucky rifle.
Also also into archaeology, primarily central Texas.

Old Collector
Hello All...
I have been collecting since grammar school. My first buy, a Trap Door Springfield was bought for $3.00 in 1959 when I was in the 5th grade. In 1960 I really stepped out and ordered a Remington Argentine rolling block from Ye Olde Hunters Lodge...without asking permission. It was a rusty one so I think was around $10.00. Still have both of them. Lots of things I should have bought...let some get away from me...y'all know the story. Presently I look out for unusual variations of just about anything. I will be posting about a couple of unusual sporters in the 1903 Springfield section. Thanks!

Hello from the Wet Coast (pun intended). Canadian Navy veteran (only 8 years served) from decades past. Just joined Milsurps today and looking forward to learning more about the circa 1950 Lee Enfield No4 Mk2 just acquired (cleaned but not yet shot). Haven’t shot a Lee Enfield since a PPCLI sponsored Army Cadet in the 70’S (then a No7).
