A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Long time collector, Hoarder is probably a more accurate description

I have a lifetime interest in firearms. I built what I thought would be a rifle, when I was 8 years old. I still carry an interesting scar on my chin from actually trying to fire it. I've come to an age where it is time to let some stuff go. Google brought me here, since it seems folks here share my addiction and might give some of my stuff a good home.

    Enfield No 2 Mk 1

I have a friend that just purchased a Enfield No 2 Mk 1 pistol with a broken firing pin. He asked me to help him find a replacement. When I was searching the Internet I came across the MILSURPS web site. There was a thread about "Enfield No 2 Mk 1 firing pin" so I registered to see if I can locate a firing pin for my friend.

Hi. It has been interesting reading the commentary and now I have a question of my own. I have a Garandicon barrel with a top marking of D35448 S A C and no side barrel markings. Can anyone help me identify this barrel?
    Thanks

    Hello all.
I stumbled across this site, found it interesting, and joined up. Looks like lots of helpful folks here. I've been shooting for 50 years, so if I can add something useful, I will.

New guy with his first Enfield.

Hi. I am new here and would like to show you guys my 1943 Long Branch I picked up for $75.00 about a year ago at a yard sale. I have not shot it yet but plan to. I really like the history of items like this more than shooting them. The numbers on the rifle, bolt and mag all match. It has import marks and has been FTR'd in 49. It looks like the only thing done to it when it was FTR'd was replace the barrel. The stock is a complete savage marked stock. I have a Long Branch marked pig sticker and about 7 Charger clips. I think it was a nice deal at a great price. I will not give out the serial number so do not ask, That why there is blue tape in the pics and no picture of the bolt. Thanks

    New to SMLE's

    Hi Guys,
    Just got myself a 1915 Enfield made no1 Mk3.
It's been a weapon I have considered getting for ages, finally got one.
I have been reading up on them and thought I should join a forum of experts to get more tips and information, so please forgive my dumb questions that I am afraid will pop out for time to time.
Cheers all looking forward to joining in
    Steve
