    Greetings Everyone

Began my shooting life with a milsurp. First rifle I owned was a 1917 30/06. All this was 50+ years ago and I still consider cleaning cosmolineicon off a military weapon one of the delights in life.

    Smile Hello the Fort!

First post here. I've been buying, selling and shooting milsurp weapons since I was a teenager. Got my C&R about a year ago and my latest purchase was a Swissicon K-31 from AIM. I've wanted one since I was 12, but never picked one up. Will have lots a questions and will enjoy the Board! Thanks.

Hi All. I'm not sure if I should be here or not and I feel a little bit like a phony or an imposter . . . I am not a collector at all.

I simply have acquired an item that may be somewhat unique and wanted to get a bit of advice, or comment, opinion, etc.

It is kind of like a yearbook of the WWII Fleet Air Photographic Squadron One VD-1. Although it is dated 1945 and there's a short paragraph thanking some entities for the making of it, it doesn't appear to have a copyright on it and I believe it's an original.

When I type in the book on Google I get just a few links that take me to US Air official websites where I do find it listed as existing but the title is followed with a notation of "Private collection list. No known copy location."

I thought you guys might be the best ones to ask.

    Hello from New Zealand

I stumbled across this site about a week ago while researching P14's as there was a couple for sale locally. To be honest I feel a bit embarrassed that I didn't even know what a P14 was till a week ago, be since then I've now acquired a neglected P14 and think I'm hooked. Although it's seen better days, it has more character than my Kimber Montana will ever have. I'm looking forward to restoring the rifle or at the very least learning more about it.

    Thanks, Andrew

    Hello all,

Been collecting for about 20 years, been reloading a bit longer. Shot on the CT state Juniors Highpower team years ago. Just got my C&R a couple months ago. I do firearm repair and restoration as a hobby and have gotten pretty good at slow rust bluing and niter bluing. Very shortly I will be taking the plunge and buying leather tooling equipment to make holsters and various leather goods. Good to be here, hope if the need arises I can be of assistance if you need it.

    Rich

    New Member in Miami

Hello, I am a new member, I live in Miami and have just recently gotten into collecting military rifles. So far I have a Springield 1903A3, a 1909 Swedishicon Mauser and a Mosin-Nagant. I am a complete newbie but so far I am enjoying learning not only about the history of the reifles but alos about the process of cleaning and preserving them.

    Hello my fellow Mil-Surp collectors!!!

It is a pleasure to know that there are others out there who have the same interests in collecting mil-surp rifles. The history behind each rifle, the quality of craftsmanship, and the joy in shooting them is something you can't get out of a brand new hunting rifle!!!

My passion lies with the rifles of WWII. I have a CMPicon Garand, a No. 4 Lee-Enfield, a MAS 36, a 98k, at T99 Arisakaicon, and an M44 Mosin Nagant. I also have an M1Aicon (my father carried an M14 in Vietnam; truly it is the Cadillac of battle rifles). I look forward to great conversation with all of my fellow collectors and shooters!!!
