Greetings all, I'm retired and have been trading firearms and militaria since the late 1950's both as a collector and dealer. I rarely set up at shows anymore and mainly attend them in order to make purchases. I'm past president and ten year executive board member of a national dealer's association but now devote my time mainly to enjoying my retirement. We alternate between mid Missouri and the DFW area.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Hello All, I recently bought a Enfield No2 Mk1 da/sa dated 1931. It's in really good nick but I damaged the left grip trying to remove it. Anyone know where I can buy wooden replacement grips?
    Cheers,
    Smudge.

    Hi all,
I'm a retired Navy Chief, Master Millwright, ex pro Drag Racer and working gunsmith. (yea, I'm OLD) I'm retired now from real, useful work, but I still have a big shop to play in, with things that catch my eye.

Lately, there has been a growing interest in shooting and collecting military arms in my vicinity (SW Floriduh) My general knowledge of arms is pretty good from WW2 to present, to include the common foreign stuff. I've built lots of JAM's (just another Mauser) some long range, very precise bolt guns as well as some really fun bolt action pistol's, along the way,~ 20 years of general repair smithing, but not the finer points of ID, issue correct or collecting.

As a general rule, I can usually make 'em shoot well, but period correct / collecting is a whole 'nother thing. Hopefully you folks will tend to my edumaction.

If we both work at it, amazing things can happen.

    Thanks, Paul
