I am a new member and I'm into military surplus rifles. I started at a late age and am having a ball in the history of these rifles. However, I am having a problem locating amo for an 1889 Swissicon Schmidt-Rubin rifle. Can anyone help me in locating it. I also need a magazine for the rifle as well.

My name is Philip Williams....long time shooter and just started collection military weapons. I have a 1945 Mosin Nagant in prime condition and just picked up a 1945 Enfiled No.4 Mk 1* T Long Branch sniper w/matching serial number scope i purchased from a lady whos father just died and she hates guns and wanted to get rid if it..She wanted $4000 for it (appraisal) and I offered her $2100. Mint, Mint condition and all numbers match. I will post pics later and wanted to get everyones opinion on value....I may want to sell it. Also got a Germanicon Mauser sport hunting rifle. Has serial number but no other info on it. Has the 98 action and the front site, receiver, trigger guard and mag cover all have fancy scrolling on them. Trigger is gold. Think its a 8 mm mag but dont know for sure. I will also post pics of it as well.

Hi there! My understanding is that you can only get ammo for your rifle at the competitions held through the various Swiss clubs. I don't know where you are, but maybe the info one this page could help: Swiss Society of Vancouver

    Good luck!

    Hello All,
I have just joined this forum although I have belonged to a couple of others for a few years.

I have a modest milsurp collection so far. I am hoping to get a representatve weapon (or two) from each of the major combatants of WW2 and WW1. So
    far I have a Mk.4 and Mk.5 Enfield, a Mossie-Nagant, a Kar-98, an M1 Garand and an M1 carbine. I am on the lookout for a Japaneseicon rifle next, or a Mk.3 Lee-Enfield.

I live in the mountains of north Georgia (USAicon) where I moved to about 8 years ago from Englandicon, although I presently work in Mexico. (Some commute!) The only other people I meet here with rifles are deer hunters, so if anyone else on the forum is from around this here neck of the woods (as the locals say) I would be glad to hear from you.

    Malcolm

Hi all, my name is Pete ,I've owned milsurp rifles all my adult life. The first one was an M1icon carbine when I was about 17 ,currently into Lee Enfields. The latest aquisition is a no4 T barreled action,....it's going to take a while to get it all together I'm not really sure why I do this to myself.
